when they became beneficiaries of the LIFE project. Through attending goat-rearing trainings and agriculture production trainings. Khaleda learned important skills in goat rearing and crop production. She discovered the importance of proper feeding techniques and practices, along with goat bed production and maintenance, ensuring the goat’s well-being. As her goats flourished, so did their dreams.
Their goat family expanded with the arrival of two kids. Khaleda sold one kid to purchase a cow, while the other kid was forwarded to a new member of the goat bank beneficiary group. Furthermore, Khaleda’s dedication led her to become the secretary of her community’s goat bank group. Despite so many challenges, Khaleda and Nurul found financial stability through the activities.
“if more underserved people like us could receive support from similar projects, they could achieve their economic stability.”
Their success inspired them to dream bigger – owning land for agriculture and expanding their livestock. They believe that if more community members participated in the goat bank intervention of the project, financial improvement could be widespread. Khaleda and Nurul’s story resembles resilience, community collaboration, and the transformative power of initiatives like the LIFE project, offering hope and prosperity to families like theirs in Telkhola.
